Emergency Response to Bio-Terrorism

This eight-course program includes: Introduction to Mass Fatalities designed to provide students with an overview of key issues. Emergency Response to Terrorism provides workers with the knowledge on how best to respond to such an attack. Worker Safety for Disaster Response provides students with the knowledge and basic skills to work safely at a disaster site, a natural event, or man-caused incident. HazWoper 24-Hour Moderate Risk

This self-paced HazWoper education course meets the OSHA/EPA training requirements for workers performing hazardous waste site functions in accord with the provisions of 29 CFR 1910.120. The regulation stipulates that employers at hazardous waste sites, and at many other “sites” as further defined by regulation, shall ensure that all workers with the potential of chemical exposure will receive a minimum of 24-hours of waste site health and safety training. The course consists of online text, interactive exercises, web links, self-grading quizzes, and a final exam. Tuition: $350


Homeland Security/Terrorist Agent Control Technology

This five-course program includes:

  • Biological Agents of Terrorism – Identify biological agents of primary concern to the CDC and US Department of Agriculture.
  • Perspectives on Terrorism – Units cover terrorism from its historical origins, to modern needs of preparedness and response.
  • Chemical Agents of Terrorism – Students examine the effects of industrial chemicals as well as military agents.
  • Facility Security and Deterrents on Terrorism (Available soon) – A terrorist attack can be internal or external; from these two extremes, students identify how to safeguard their infrastructure.
  • Agent Monitoring and Detection (Available soon) – From continuous monitoring to sampling for and detection of a suspected agent, students explore worlds of PID, IR, and GC Maas Spectroscopy, Immunofluorescence, and PCR Technology.

OSHA - 30 Hour Construction Industry Training w/ Study Guide

The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Construction workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the job.(30 Self-study Hours) Tuition: $425
