Grant provides internships for students
Columbus State, Ohio State and North Central State College have partnered with 82 private-sector employers to develop an internship program, creating new paid, credit-bearing internships/co-ops for students.
|
The “JobReady” program is funded by a $1.5 million grant awarded by the Ohio Board of Regents’ Ohio Means Internships and Co-Ops program.
JobReady funds are being used to create 416 new internships and co-ops across Ohio for students who are enrolled the three colleges. Internships and co-ops are in JobsOhio target industries – automotive, energy, financial services, and food processing. The internships deliver modules that address employer-identified gaps between the classroom and the workplace and provide for cross-institutional career services.
Columbus State students will have access to many of these internship openings. More information, including a link to our internship job board where these positions will be posted, can be found online. All of the internships must be taken for-credit during the summer semester.
Distinguished Full Professors to offer perspective
The next Faculty Onboarding and Renewal event will be a panel discussion with winners of the Distinguished Full Professor award. The discussion will be held Friday, March 22, at 1:00 p.m. in CT 107.
