Final opportunity for Master Planning input
More than 200 college and community stakeholders have participated in forums during which Master Plan options for the Columbus and Delaware campuses were shared for input.
If you weren't able to attend any of those forums, please note that one more college forum will be held for this phase of the work on Monday, February 4, from 2:30-4:00 p.m., in the Conference Center Ballroom in the Center for Workforce Development (WD). NBBJ will present options for both the Columbus and Delaware campuses at this forum.
Please come and share your input if you haven't already had a chance to do so! No RSVP is required to attend.
Strategic Planning sessions next Thursday
Thanks to those of you who volunteered to participate in our Workforce Development and Civic Engagement strategic planning sessions next Thursday, February 7. The Workforce Development session will be Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the Civic Engagement session will be in the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. If you did not submit your name earlier but would still like to participate, please let us know at www.cscc.edu/rsvp3. You will receive an agenda and meeting specifics early next week.

“First Wednesday” set to premier on Feb. 6
President Harrison invites you to participate in a new monthly town hall-style meeting on the first Wednesday of each month called First Wednesdays. The gathering will begin with the announcement of the Staff Employee of the Month award(s) and follow with college-wide announcements, presentations and briefings, opportunities for questions and a chance to visit and socialize with colleagues.
The first session will be held Wednesday, February 6, from 8:00-9:00 a.m. in the Conference Center Ballroom, on the fourth floor of the Center for Workforce Development (WD). First Wednesdays will be live streamed on the Web whenever possible, and occasionally held at different locations such as the Delaware Campus.
Please join us for First Wednesday, February 6! RSVPs are not necessary.

Introduction to the Apple iPad
This seminar will serve as the entry point for anyone who is new to using Apple's iPad. Participants will learn about using iPads in the teaching and learning environment, for personal productivity, for business related productivity, and more.
Participants must be current employees of Columbus State, and bring their own iPad.

“Titanic: A Retrospec-tive,” the play produced by Theatre Columbus State last season, was the winner of three 2012 Central Ohio Theatre Roundtable Awards January 27, including Best Director for theater instructor Frank A. Barnhart.
As part of the continuing Achieving the Dream project, a number of Columbus State faculty and staff members will facilitate discussions about current gaps in our students’ success.
Actor/ producer Danny Glover gave the keynote speech at the MLK celebration and stayed afterward to “chat” with a smaller group of students and employees.
