“What best teachers do” discussion is Feb. 18
Hear student feedback on how they learn and how we teach
Registration for the next discussion based on the book What the Best College Teachers Do is now open. The discussion will be held Friday, February 18, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in CT 107.
Journal articles abound about the learning styles of "today's students." With a panel of students, we'll explore what works, what doesn't, and how we can improve our methods to engage more students. The discussion is connected to Chapter 2 of the book, “What Do They Know about How We Learn?”
The discussion will be led by Traci Haynes, associate professor of Psychology, Heather Johnston, chairperson, Psychology, and Antoinette Perkins, assistant professor of Sports and Exercise Studies. Please Register online. Faculty will be contacted afterward about obtaining a copy of the book. Learn more about the book and discussion series and listen to archived discussions at http://cscc.edu/faculty/Best/. For more information contact Rich James.
