Special Delivery Dawn Ester-Thompson, an Associate of Arts graduate at Spring Quarter’s commencement ceremony, lined up first to go June 12 because she was experiencing contractions 11 minutes apart that morning. She received her diploma and was whisked off by paramedics to the hospital. Little Karma Danyelle, 6 lbs. 15 oz. was the result!

Taylor elected treasurer for ACF James Taylor, CEC, associate professor in Hospitality Management, has been elected to a two-year term as treasurer of the American Culinary Federation, and will take office July 14 at the annual ACF National Convention in Orlando, Fla.
The American Culinary Federation is a national professional organization with 22,000 members from coast to coast. It is governed by a board of directors composed of professional chefs from around the country.

Council on World Affairs offers “Global Health: The World's Most Pressing Issues” The Council on World Affairs will offer the first of three programs as part of the new Global Health: Community Conversations Series on Wednesday, July 1 from 8-10 a.m. in the Center for Workforce Development Ballroom. The cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members of the CWA.
Dr. Daniel Carucci, VP of Global Health at the UN Foundation, and Maurice Middleberg, VP of Public Policy for the Global Health Council, will define the highest priority global health issues of our time.
They will then join Dr. Teresa Long, Commissioner for the Columbus Health Department, and Dr. Dwight Powell, Chief of Infectious Diseases at Nationwide Children's Hospital, for an interactive discussion on their implications on our Columbus community.
