The following are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions about Columbus State.

How do I apply?

To begin the admission process, please refer to our Enrollment Guide which breaks down everything you need to do and includes important dates and deadlines.  Chat with an admissions advisor during certain hours.

Do you have more information for students in my situation?

Are you a new college student, transfer, international, etc? We have personalized information for your situation. 

How do I request a transcript?

To request a copy of an official transcript, Columbus State requires a written request form.  You can return this form by postal mail, fax, or in person. The address and fax number are both included on the form.

How do I discover or reset my password?

Please refer to this web link and follow the instructions on our password site.  If you are experiencing a technical issue please contact the IT Support Center directly 614-287-5050.

What programs and courses do you offer?

What is the school code for financial aid?                                      

The code is 006867.  Additional information is on the financial aid site.

How are financial aid disbursements handled?

Each term, the disbursement information is online.

Are you on quarters or semesters?

Columbus State switched to semesters in Autumn 2012. For more information, see our switch to semesters site.                                            

When do classes start?                

Starting dates, registration dates, and other important dates are listed on the Academic Calendar.                                                               

How do I take the Compass test?      

For information regarding the Testing Center, hours, requirements, review questions, etc. please refer to the center's website.

How will I know what classes to schedule?

After you take the Compass test, you will generally attend a Registration Workshop. In following semesters, you may meet with your advisor.  We also offer career services and personal counseling.

How much is tuition?  How do I pay my bill?     

The tuition and fees site includes tuition information, as well as information on how to pay your bill and payment options.   

Do you have disability services?        

Yes, Columbus State offers a wide variety of services. Our Disability Services website provides all needed information.                                               

Do you have tutoring available?    

CSCC has a wide variety of tutoring services available to our students.

Do you have housing? 

CSCC is not able to offer housing to our students. We do have information for nearby apartments and housing options.                                                                  

What if I am interested in non-credit classes?        

We offer a wide variety of non-credit courses.

How can I get more involved?

We offer many activities, athletics, and events.
