1. What kinds of seminars do you offer?
The quarterly seminar series will focus on specific skills, e.g., basics of importing, export documentation, marine insurance, and regulatory compliance.  Students attending these seminars may earn a full college credit per seminar.  Other evening presentations hosted by the college feature well-known practitioners discussing current topics of interest, e.g., cargo security, transportation fuel costs, and freight claims.

Check the Calendar option on the home page for more details on upcoming seminars. We also welcome recommendations on other topics of interest.

2. Do you offer short-term or customized training programs?
Yes. The college is always interested in serving the needs of area business and views workforce development as part of its mission. Please contact us with specific needs and we’ll do our best to put you in contact with the appropriate professionals on campus.

3. I’m interested in well-trained interns; can you put me in contact with students who would be interested in an internship?
Certainly. The college will be delighted to post intern opportunities on the department bulletin board and copies will be distributed to each instructor for discussion in on-going classes.

4. Will you post or otherwise circulate any job descriptions for openings at my company?
Of course.  The college will be delighted to inform students about job opportunities. Typically, they are posted on the department bulletin board and informational copies are distributed to each instructor for discussion in on-going classes. A number of our students have found employment by responding to job opportunities forwarded by local companies.
