Project EAGLE announces a series of four workshops designed specifically for international commerce professionals preparing to take the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) examination. For international commerce professionals with limited experience, the certification can be a useful professional development goal; for those well-established in international trade, the CGBP certification helps confirms their knowledge.

For employers, sending an employee to one of CSCC’s preparatory workshops is an excellent means of communicating the company’s interest is his or her professional development. It also assures that the company will be able to practice global business at the professional level required in today’s competitive environment.

Each of the four workshops in Project EAGLE preparatory series addresses one of the four CGBP competency areas identified by NASBITE as necessary to conduct global commerce. Each of these appears on the CGBP examination: Global Business Management, Global Marketing, International Trade Finance, and Supply Chain Management. The first workshop, Basics of International Trade Finance, is scheduled for October 20, 2006; the remaining three will be held in time for students to prepare for the June 2007 CGBP exam.

For more information about the CGBP preparatory workshops, please email Project EAGLE at projecteagle@cscc.edu or contact Bud Cohan at 614 287-3634
