On-Line Program
The DL Program is a collaborative effort between Columbus State
Community College and clinical hospital laboratories designed to
allow individuals to obtain an AAS.MLT Degree without driving to the
CSCC campus!
Dear Laboratory Manager,
The MLT Program at Columbus State
Community College (CSCC) is now offering a Distance Learning
Program for individuals who do not live
within driving distance of the college campus.
These courses may be of interest to
hospital employees who would like to become MLTs and to Laboratory
Managers who would like an alternative way to maintain staffing
needs. If you have a hard-working and loyal staff member who has the
technical competence to become an MLT, this program may be of
benefit to your organization.
Program Highlights
- -MLT Technical Courses (areas of rotation) are 10
weeks in duration.
- -The lecture courses are offered
entirely online.
- -Laboratory training is performed at
the affiliated facility by qualified laboratory staff with
online support from the MLT college faculty.
- -Once trained in an area of
rotation, the individual will be a more productive and versatile
staff member.
- -Non technical courses (General
Education and Basic courses) can be taken online at CSCC or
transferred to CSCC from other educational institutions.
Advantages
- -Employer: An alternative way to
maintain staffing needs
- -Prospective students: Professional
growth
