Need Help with Research

Here are several ways to contact a librarian for research assistance:

Live chat: Use KnowItNow Academic to get online help with your research questions. The service is staffed by librarians from participating OhioLINK Libraries.

KnowItNow Academic is available Monday through Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Fridays, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Outside of these hours, or if academic librarians are not available, you can get online help with your research questions from public librarians using the regular KnowItNow service.

KnowItNow Academic is a pilot project that will run through February and will then be evaluated. When you use KnowItNow Academic you may be helped by an academic librarian from another OhioLINK library than your own.

If you prefer to talk to a librarian at Columbus State, please contact an ERC librarian directly through one of the options below.

In person: Visit the Reference Services desk at the library in the Educational Resources Center (ERC). It is located on level 1 of Columbus Hall (CO). Or, visit the Computer Commons in the Center for Technology and Learning (TL) for reference assistance.

Librarians are available in the ERC during these hours:

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 10 PM

Friday: 7:30 AM – 6 PM

Saturday: 9 AM – 4 PM

Sunday: 1 PM – 5 PM

Librarians are available in the Computer Commons (TL 116) during these hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 9 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM - 4 PM
