Shared Responsibilities:

Staff of the Educational Talent Search Program will work with participants throughout their middle and high school years to plan and prepare for their future.  Talent Search will share certain responsibilities with students to help them set and achieve their academic, career, educational, and life goals.

The main responsibility of ETS is to assist students in successfully completing both middle and high school.  In addition ETS helps students to become prepared to enter college and embark upon the career of their choice.  ETS will provide students with educational and career counseling services.  Professional ETS counselors will help students to define their goals and guide students toward achieving those goals.

ETS requires that students take an active role in their own growth and development.  The main responsibilities of students in the ETS Program are to work at their highest potential to get good grades and to gain as much from their ETS experience as possible. Successful ETS students should:

  • Respect themselves
  • Participate in ETS activities
  • Attend all class and counseling sessions as scheduled
  • Be an active and courteous participant in classes
  • Be on time
  • Show respect for others and their belongings
  • Be open to new ideas and ways of doing things
