Recycling on campus will soon pay for itself
A new investment by Columbus State will pay for itself over time. The college just
invested in a cardboard “baler” that can compact all types of cardboard into a solid,
wire-tied bale. Now, instead of paying to have someone pick up our cardboard waste,
we're able to sell it. See how it works close up here: http://cstv.cscc.edu/columbus-state-cardboard/
Volleyball player honored
Dani Turner, a member of the Cougar Women’s Volleyball Team, was recently named the All-American
2012 Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year.
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) gave 225 college and high
school athletes the prestigious award in 2012. Turner was recognized for overcoming
a foot injury that restricted her three-sport playing time in high school. At Columbus
State, Turner relied on weight training to resume her volleyball career, and was also
able to maintain her 3.5 GPA throughout the season.
