There will be no on-campus, in-person, or telephone student services available during this 11-day period over the holidays. Online registration and fee payment via CougarWeb will be available. Avoid the holiday rush and register NOW for Spring Semester, which begins Jan. 14, 2013!

Can I register for Spring Semester classes during this period?

Yes, using CougarWeb, you can log on and register for classes and pay fees. You can also access the Spring Semester Class Schedule to search for your classes. The fee payment deadline for Spring Semester is January 9, 2013 at 11:00 p.m.

Will I get a Late Registration Fee if I register after December 30?

The Late Registration Fee for Spring Semester 2013 has been WAIVED due to the holiday break. If you register after December 30, you will see the fee on your statement, but it will have been waived (subtracted) from your balance.

What if I discover a restriction on my registration during this period and am unable to register?

There are several different types of restrictions you may encounter when registering online. If you have a financial restriction such as an unpaid fee, parking ticket, or etc., you can pay it online, then log back on to register for classes.* Other restrictions that require personal assistance—such as an academic restriction or financial aid restriction—will have to wait until January 2 or later to be addressed.

*Fees owed to the Attorney General's Office will be addressed after Jan. 2.

Can I call or email someone if I need help?

During the break, you may receive a bounce-back message to your email, which will be answered after the break. The Telephone Information Center will also have a break message, instructing you to call back on January 2, 2013. The Computer Help Desk will be available on a limited basis to respond to technology requests such as password resets, or login problems.

How can I avoid frustration trying to register or pay my fees during the Winter Break?

Register now!

You have until December 21 to select your Spring Semester classes and get answers to all your questions. By registering now, you'll be more likely to get the class sections you want and avoid getting closed out. If you encounter a problem or restriction registering for Spring Semester during the holiday break period, wait until January 2, when all Student Services will be back open to help you.

The last day to pay fees for Spring Semester 2013 is January 9, 2013 at 11 p.m. Classes begin January 14, 2013!
