Research Interests/Other Interests:
Obviously, I am interested in political science and politics: I was a Ford Foundation Fellow in the Michigan Senate (1975) as an intern for Republican Senate Minority Leader Robert Vanderlaan. In 1992 I was the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 12th District, and in 1995 I ran for election to the Columbus School Board. I have written extensively about political theory, co-published a scholarly article on health-care policy, and made presentations at academic conferences on political theory, electoral politics, and public policy.
I have a radio talk show called "Fight Back!" on talktainmentradio.com (Wednesdays at 7:00pm). I publish and edit The Free Press, a quarterly journal of opinion and new analysis. It is on the web at www.freepress.org .
