Spring 2016 Concerts
Tuesday, March 1st at 8:00 p.m. in the Workforce Development Building ballroom WD-435, Columbus State Concert Band, directed by Thomas Lloyd, and Columbus State Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Rick Brunetto, will perform a joint concert.
Tuesday, April 26th at 7:30 p.m. at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad
Street, Columbus State Concert Band will be joined by soloist James Hildreth in music
for band and pipe organ.
Columbus State Band concerts are free.

Band Celebrates tenth Anniversary
Columbus State Concert band gave its first concert in November of 1998.

Columbus State Concert Band & Small Group Ensembles
Under the direction of Thomas Lloyd, the Columbus State Concert Band and Ensembles include players from a variety of experience including students, faculty, and community members. Opportunities are available for credit and non-credit participation. Concert Band rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm during Fall and Spring semesters. Ensemble rehearsals are one afternoon or evening per week throughout the year.
Columbus State Concert Band featured Gary Tirey, tuba soloist,
on the March 2003 band concert.
Members of the Columbus State Concert Band performed for the dedication of the Madison County Veterans Memorial in June 2002. Band director Thomas Lloyd is seen leading the singing of the National Anthem.
