Register for Spring Semester






The American  Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges is sponsoring a contest for Columbus State math students twice this academic year; Autumn Semester 2013 and Spring Semester 2014. The level of each test is precalculus mathematics and includes topics such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and probability. The top five student scores from each round are submitted to the national competition. .

Any student currently enrolled in Columbus State can participate to win local prizes, but scores from students who have earned a two-year, or higher, degree cannot be forwarded to the national competition.

Math classes are available for students in Career & Technical fields, as well as those who begin their college career at Columbus State then transfer to another college to complete a bachelor's degree. We strive to help students at all skill levels achieve their mathematics goals.

The mission of the Department of Mathematics is to provide lifelong community access to a dynamic curriculum that emphasizes mathematical concepts, communication and applications through a commitment to sound pedagogy. In a mathematically dependent society the department will strive to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of our students, our faculty, our college, and our community.
