EMEC 1250 Motors & Control Logic (A, SP, SU)

This course covers AC motors, generators, transformers, and the basic components used
to control them. Students will learn how to generate ladder and wiring diagrams as
well as gain competency in wiring power and control circuits to meet a given set of
criteria. They will also learn how to troubleshoot using digital multi-meters.

EMEC 1251 Control Logic and PLC’s (A, SP, SU)
4 credits
This course covers advanced control circuits, advanced design of ladder and wiring
diagrams to meet a given set of criteria, and basic PLC programming of the Allen Bradley
SLC PLC’s using RS Logix software.
