This course is an introduction to the world of mythology through the study of myths
from Greece and Rome. The course explores some of the religious ideas, traditions
and values that distinguish one civilization from another, while also indicating universally
shared themes. Attention will be given to cultural expression of mythical themes
in literature and art.
