January: Wellness/Financial Planning
Participants will learn about Columbus State's Wellness Program and Initiatives. All facets of wellness are addressed at the college, including, financial wellness. February:IT/Center for Workforce Development
Participants will be introduced to IT via a Department Overview & IT Policies including: IT Support and Help Desk; ERC Services; Information Security; Telecommunication; Email and Collaboration Tools. A question and answer session will follow. Participants will learn about the Continuing Education and Workforce Development programs offered to community partners. March: Shared Governance, Staff Advisory Council
Participants will learn about various ways to become involved at the college. Representatives from two areas of the Columbus State will present information on Shared Governance and Staff Advisory Council. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to sign-up for these service commitments. Video conferencing will be available for the Delaware Campus. Please register once for this session. April: CQI/ College Communication
Participants will learn about Columbus State's involvement in the AQIP process and College Communication. The Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) provides an alternative evaluation process for organizations already accredited by the Commission. AQIP is structured around quality improvement principles and processes and involves a structured set of goal-setting, networking, and accountability activities. Participants will also learn about the college brand, marketing tools, enrollment figures and more. The college policy on communication with the media will also be covered in this session. May: College Budget/ Conference/ Travel
Participants will learn about the structure and process of developing the college budget, including planning for capital equipment purchases, building renovations, professional development and the college endowment. The college policies on conference attendance and travel will be discussed. Video conferencing will be available for the Delaware Campus. Please register once for this session. Register
June: Leadership Meet and Greet
Participants will have an opportunity to meet the formal college leadership. The President and his cabinet will share the current direction of the college. A question and answer session will follow.
