AQIP Action Projects

Action Projects for 2015

Generation One Trailblazer, Faculty Action Research and the Writing Center for Credit are the new AQIP action projects for 2015. The three were selected in a recent cabinet session and are posted on the Higher Learning Commission Action Project Directory website.

The AQIP steering committee forwarded a total ten projects for consideration. They included:

Achieving the Dream Success Council – oversees grants for student success and innovation efforts. Leaders: Tracy Little, Desiree Polk-Bland
Connect2Complete – matches at-risk students with trained peers. Leader: Marisa Vernon
College On-Boarding -examines the employee orientation process. Leaders: Rich James, Lori Thomas
Cultural Competency – a campus climate survey. Leader: Brett Walsh
Faculty Action Research – gauges Active and Collaborative Learning (ACL) in student outcomes. Leaders: Rich James, Ron Elizaga, Julie Cronk
Generation One Trailblazers – a faculty designed student support effort. Leaders: Traci Haynes, Ron Elizaga
Honors – challenging our high-achieving students is the goal. Leader: Rebecca Mobley
Orgsync Platform - a web tool that tracks student college activity. Leaders: Kimberly Rhyan, Heather Borland
Performance Management –a new approach to measure employee performance. Leaders: Rich James, Lori Thomas
Writing Center for Credit - repeating ENGL 1100 students get a helping hand. Leader: Deborah Bertsch

Action Projects are a key component of the college's AQIP accreditation pathway. Team leads will submit year end reports to the HLC detailing the impact of their work.
