Columbus State is gearing up for the Quality Check-Up Visit which will be performed by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) in mid-September. You can get answers to these questions and more on the FAQs page of the Accreditation website, online here.

Possible COTA strike requires planning
The union representing bus drivers at the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) has announced it intends to strike beginning Monday, July 2. While COTA administrators and the Transport Workers Union remain in negotiations it’s unclear if a resolution will be made before the strike deadline.
What this means for students, staff and faculty at Columbus State: If you use COTA for transportation to and from the Columbus Campus there’s a possibility the buses could stop rolling as early as this Monday. Now would be the best time to make alternate transportation arrangements in the event a strike takes place. It’s possible a final decision won’t be made until the weekend. Also, please note that COTA intends for Mainstream transportation to continue even in a strike. Mainstream is the service for people with disabilities.
For the latest information on the negotiations and whether a strike is called, you can link to the COTA website at www.cota.com.

On Sunday, July 1, at 7:00 p.m., the Ensemble will sing backup to national talent, Deana Martin (daughter of legendary entertainer, the late Dean Martin). The Gospel Vocal Ensemble is under the direction of Emma L. Easton.
