Employees who completed the necessary steps to receive a pay out in the Wellness Incentive Program that ended June 30, will receive their pay out September 30.

President speaks about jobs, school funding at Ft. Hayes
President Barack Obama came to Columbus Tuesday afternoon to advocate for his new jobs bill, and talk about school funding on the Ft. Hayes High School campus. Many Columbus State employees were in attendance along with hundreds of high school students at the outdoor event. Click through this photo gallery using the arrows. Celebrating partnership
Columbus State President David Harrison and Ohio State President Gordon Gee prepare to ceremoniously plant an Ohio Buckeye tree on the Delaware Campus yesterday, commemorating the new partnership between the two schools. Clawdette Cougar and Brutus Buckeye also joined in the fun. Ohio State’s Marion Regional Campus will offer classes on our campus beginning next week, and more than 800 OSU students are enrolled, along with 1300 Columbus State students, for fall. Along with the speeches, tree planting and open house tours yesterday, 38 Ohio State faculty who will teach on the Delaware Campus attended an orientation with advisors and coordinators already on site. The Delaware Campus will be a busy place when the quarter begins September 21!
Students participate in the Model UN Education Symposium

Six new international students from the Community Colleges for International Development (CCID) program and project coordinator, Vanessa Kumar participated in the Model United Nations Education Symposium held September 3 at OSU. Each participant acted as a delegate and sat on a committee to discuss one of the eight Millennium Goals proposed by the United Nations. Committee goals were to: eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, promote gender equality and empower women, combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases, ensure environmental sustainability, and develop a global partnership for development.
The symposium brought together educators, students, and community leaders to create proposed actionable items for each goal. The conference gave all involved an opportunity to experience an actual UN delegate session and have their solutions submitted to UN committees for review.
