Opening the House
Dean of the Delaware Campus Dr. Jan Rogers leads a group of visitors on a tour of Moeller Hall at an Open House event held Wednesday evening. A series of enrollment events have been scheduled to help prospective students and their parents become familiar with the new campus, meet the staff, and get the rest of the classes filled for Autumn Quarter!

Bringing down the roof!

Work began Wednesday to remove the old entrance area to Columbus Hall, the ERC.
Renovation to the building includes moving the entrance to a new location on
the lower level. Exterior renovations began last spring, and interior
renovations are going on simultaneously. Students are currently entering the building through east and west entrances. The library remains open throughout the renovation project.

Class of 2014 has a different “mindset”
As the first wave of new college students arrives on campus for fall terms, Beloit College in
Wisconsin has released its annual “Beloit College Mindset List.” It provides a look at the cultural touchstones that shape the lives of students entering college this fall, many of whom were born in 1992.
An excerpt: “The class of 2014 has never found Korean-made cars unusual on the Interstate, and five hundred cable channels, of which they will watch a handful, have always been the norm. Since "digital" has always been in the cultural DNA, they've never written in cursive, and with cell phones to tell them the time, there is no need for a wrist watch.”
