graphicSome new parking spots under construction for fall
Several new parking lots are currently under construction for Fall Quarter, which is good news for everyone as we consider a possibility of 30,000 students this September. The 23E lot is located at 375 N. Grant, with 48 spaces, is currently being paved. And two lots located on the east side of the parking garage will be Lots 30 and 31, with 68 and 39 spaces, respectively. And everyone is hoping that the new Delaware Campus, with nearly 900 parking spaces, will be “full up” by September 22!

posterTheatre Columbus State presents James McLure’s “The Day They Shot John Lennon”
Columbus State students will perform their summer quarter production, “The Day They Shot John Lennon,” Wednesday through Saturday, August 18-21, at 8 p.m., with a special matinee performance on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Nestor Hall Auditorium. All performances are free!

This dramatic work is set in New York City’s Central Park across from the Dakota Building where thousands of people gathered after John Lennon was shot in December 1980 as he was leaving the building where he lived with his wife Yoko Ono and son Sean. Several people step out of the crowd to comment not only on Lennon’s tragic end, but his life and music, his love and his hope for peace in an all-too-violent world. The production is directed by Nancy Kephart.
