Important payroll information Also, due to a glitch in the system with the web-time conversion, your pay advice, (electronic pay stub) for some administrators and staff only, will be overstated by 88 hours for vacation and sick leave. This has been corrected and your correct hours can be found on CougarWeb under “Leave Plan Summary.” If you have any questions about either issue, please contact Becky Ribble at ext. 5791 or Missy Graham at ext. 5715. |

Time to begin your PERFORMs planning guide The deadline for all planning guides to be entered into COOL is September 30. It is anticipated that updates to the COOL performance management system, based on user input, should make it easier to navigate and more user-friendly. It is encouraged that all employees developing planning guides revisit their planning guide from last year to see which information needs to be updated. Employees with existing planning guides will only need to edit information for the 2010-2011 planning guides. Support to complete planning guides will once again be offered in a variety of formats. Resources on the PERFORMs webpage include written directions and Camtasia presentations. Optional training will be provided in Webex (web-based training sessions) and classroom sessions. Registration for these sessions is required. Information is below. Employees can participate in Webex sessions from their desks. The only equipment required is a computer and a phone or headphones. Directions will be sent to registered participants prior to each session. All employees are strongly encouraged to check with supervisors before registering for either classroom or Webex sessions to ensure office coverage. If you have any questions about PERFORMs or COOL, please contact your Human Resources Employment Representative at ext. 2408. For information about training registration, please contact Susan Thompson ext. 2406.

Columbus State player signs to play for OCU

Tiffany Powell, a 5'4” guard who was a standout on the Cougar Women’s Basketball Team, recently signed to play for the Ohio Christian University (Circleville) Lady Trailblazers. Tiffany averaged 22.5 points, 3.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game in the 08-09 season for Columbus State. She received 1st Team All-OCCAC honors and was named the Offensive Player of the Year. Powell also holds the single-game scoring record at Columbus State, totaling 41 points in a game against Southern State on December 8, 2008.
Coach Mandy Wray said, "Tiffany is a great addition for us this late in the summer. She has a lot of game experience and is a very mature player, and she's proven she can play at a high level. Tiffany has the ability to score in a variety of ways, but she can also run the offense from the point guard position. We are very excited to have her join a very strong recruiting class and expect big things from Tiffany this year."
