President Moeller gives final graduation speech

At the Spring Quarter Commencement Ceremony held Friday, Dr. Moeller offered the commencement address, her final address after 56 ceremonies presiding as president. To a packed Veterans Memorial with more than 400 graduates and their guests, Dr. Moeller recalled that her days at graduation “have been 56 of the happiest, most festive, most satisfying days during my 14 years as president of the college.”

Di Pietro to perform Thursday
Adjunct instructor Rocco Di Pietro will perform his composition “Body Trap, Thursday, June 17, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the the OSU Urban Arts Space, located in downtown Columbus. The Urban Arts Space is located at 50 W. Town Street, Suite 130, in the Historic Lazarus Building.
Di Pietro’s piece explores the interconnections between music and physical healing, featuring acupuncturist Dr. Linda Chun along with an ensemble of live musicians. See more at Marotta Hour: Rocco Di Pietro.

Sports and Exercise Studies programs inducts alumni

The 2010 SES Alumni Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held June 3 on campus and inducted:
George W. Coleman III, M.A., Class of 1999: Counselor for Disabled Veterans through the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs in Atlanta Georgia.
Kristy Graham-Kamer, B.S., Class of 1996: Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth.
Kenneth Pitts, B.S., Class of 2004: Former Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.
Also recognized at the ceremony were: Ann Justice, named the 2010 SES-Human Performance Center Associate of the Year; Amanda Coleman, named the SES 2010 Adjunct Instructor of the Year; and Daniel T. Watrous, who was given the 2010 Friend of the Program Award.
A reception to remember

The President reacts to a humorous segment of the tribute video shown at her reception. The video, produced by David Wayne in Institutional Advancement, featured recollections of employees and community members about Dr. Moeller’s career.
