Young reporters take hard hat tour of Delaware

High school newspaper reporters from several Delaware-area schools were treated to a ‘hard-hat tour”of Moeller Hall on the new campus December 3. From left are: Nate Jackson and Phil Johnson, of Delaware Hayes, and Kimberly Sausman and Allsion Cody, of West Central. The students toured the building with Media Relations Coordinator David Wayne and Facilities and Planning Supervisor Glenn Smith. Construction is on schedule to be completed in late May 2010. Welcome Team forming for Winter Quarter The Columbus State Welcome Team hopes you will have some time to share helping students at the beginning of Winter Quarter. Welcome Team Winter 2010 will be held January 4 and 5 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. We count on your support and hope you will be able to join in the fun as we welcome new and returning students to the Columbus State campus.

Your service is vital and appreciated and has a direct impact on student success at Columbus State. Your time, patience and enthusiasm create an excitement that makes Welcome Team a valuable experience for all.

Join us in fighting this deadly disease by purchasing an item at the Bake Sale or stopping in the Phi Theta Kappa Office in Nestor Hall 122 to make a donation. A “Power of Purple” Bake Sale will be held TODAY, December 10, in Delaware Hall Lobby from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Relay for Life gear and baked goods will be available for purchase.

teddy bearHelp students collect for Toys for Tots The Columbus State student chapter of the National Society for Leadership has organized a collection drive for the annual Toys for Tots campaign, in conjunction with local Boy Scouts and the U.S. Marine Corps. If you can help this worthy cause, please donate an unwrapped gift for a child, worth $10 or less, to the Student Activities Office in Nestor Hall Room 116, by Tuesday, December 15.
