20th annual Taste the Future planned, volunteers neededTuesday, September 16, will be the most delicious day of the year! Columbus State's campus will be transformed into a culinary gala for the 20th Annual Taste the Future.
Taste the Future is an event featuring culinary masterpieces from more than 50 of central Ohio’s best establishments. The real stars of this event are the amazing chefs from around the community who show off their remarkable culinary skills to 1,400 guests.
Taste the Future takes place on our downtown campus and all proceeds from the event fund scholarships and special projects through the Development Foundation. Every year the event helps hundreds of students build their future with a college education.

Volunteers needed to train for coaching, conflict facilitationThe new Performance Management Initiative at Columbus State is seeking nominations for volunteers to work with a new pilot project: the Problem-Solving Pilot Project.
The goal of the initiative is to develop a positive and healthy working relationship between supervisors and staff, and between coworkers. A more engaged and productive workforce that does quality work together would be the result of this healthy working atmosphere.
The Problem-Solving Pilot Project is seeking volunteers to train as internal coaches and facilitators. These volunteers will receive special training and be ready to serve when needed to work with peers at resolving workplace conflicts collaboratively.

NJCAA Rules Seminar to take place at Columbus StateThe National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) will hold their Rules Summer Seminar July 31 and August 1 in the WD Ballroom. It is the first time the seminar has been held outside of the state of Colorado.
More than 150 athletic directors, registrar staff, student affairs staff and NJCAA staff will attend the seminar, sponsored by Columbus State’s Student Activities and Athletics Department.
Sexual health clinic offered twice a month on campusThe Columbus Public Health Department will present a sexual health clinic, free and open to the public, in Nestor Hall Room 116, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Free testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STD) will be offered for females and males ages 13 and older. For more information, call 645-6960.
