Are you thinking about obtaining an Associate of Science degree at CSCC? Don't go it alone!

Let our Associate of Science Mentoring Program point you in the right direction!

Mathematics and science faculty members are now available to serve as mentors for CSCC students seeking the Associate of Science degree. Mentors will be happy to meet with you to discuss career plans and options, educational programs, and much more.

If you are already working towards an AS degree, if you are considering obtaining an AS degree, or if you would just like more information about the mentoring program, read on!

 

What are the benefits of obtaining an Associate of Science degree?

An AS degree:

  • can increase your competitiveness when applying for admission to a four-year college

  • can increase your competitiveness when applying for scholarships

  • will fulfill a variety of general education requirements at many four-year colleges

  • will maximize the transferability of your two-year college coursework

    discuss the educational requirements for various career paths

  • increase the likelihood of your success at CSCC by having a mentor who has a personal interest in you

  • obtain a reference and/or letters of recommendation by developing a relationship with a mentor
