Late Registration
Late registration is registration that takes place after the 100% refund
period. There are special
Late Registration Guidelines which must be
followed:
-
The student must complete a Registration Add/Drop form as directed on the
guideline sheet of the form.
-
To register for classes after the
100% refund period has ended, the Instructor’s signature and the
date of the signature is required for each course. (Students
cannot be registered into a course after the 100% refund period
without the signature of the Instructor and the date of the
signature.)
-
After obtaining the Instructor’s
signature, return with the completed Registration Add/Drop form to
the Records and Registration Department, Madison Hall, Room 201 for
processing within two business days (as noted on the Registration
Add/Drop form) of receiving the signature.
-
You may view and print your
schedule from CougarWeb, “My Schedule”.
Special Note: If, after
the 100% refund period, you change courses to a different subject area
or in the same subject area without instructor approval, you will
receive a refund according to the refund deadline dates and you must pay
for the course you are adding. Please check the web for the refund
deadline dates. A section change is scheduling the same course at a
different time, or a different course within the same subject with
instructor recommendation on the “Other” line of the Registration
Add/Drop form.
Important Notice for Financial Aid Applicants/Recipients:
Columbus State Community College uses a “freeze date” each quarter to
determine a student’s enrollment status for disbursing financial aid.
Financial aid will only pay for courses added before the freeze date for
a course section. The financial aid freeze date coincides with the
close of the 100% tuition refund period and is determined individually
for each class scheduled. If a student adds or drops classes before the
freeze date, the amount of aid for which the student is eligible may be
affected. Financial aid is not available for courses added after the
freeze date.
Students
have the responsibility to view their schedule for accuracy and to
insure that fees are paid.
The Fee Payment Schedule
is available at the Quarter Schedules
page on CSCC.edu:
After the third date/drop,
courses will no longer be dropped for non-payment of fees. If fees are
not paid, a past fees due restriction will be placed on your record by
Business Services, Rhodes Hall, Room 234. This restriction will block
all future registration.
