Graduating From Columbus State Community College
To graduate from Columbus State Community College a student needs to
do the following:
- Make an appointment with an advisor to review the degree
requirements and complete the Petition to Graduate form.
- Submit all copies of the petition to the Records and
Registration Department, Madison Hall, Room 201.
The deadlines to return the form are:
- To graduate Winter Quarter 2008: by Friday, January 18, 2008
before 4:30 p.m. The ceremony is in March
- To graduate Spring Quarter 2008: by Friday, April 11, 2008
before 4:30 p.m.. The ceremony is in June.
- To graduate Summer Quarter 2008: by Friday, July 11, 2008 before 4:30
p.m. The ceremony is in September.
- To graduate Autumn Quarter 2008: by Friday, October 3, 2008 before
4:30 p.m. The ceremony is in December.
The petitions are processed during the graduation quarter. Students
who have petitioned to graduate will be notified of the status of the
graduation petition by mail. Approximately five (5) weeks into the
graduation quarter, the students who are meeting the graduation
requirements will receive a graduation packet with information on:
- Frequently Asked Questions
- The date, time and place of the ceremony
- Ordering invitations
- Cap and gown information
