Columbus
State is responsible for reporting to campus significant criminal incidents
on campus that may pose a threat to safety and security, in accordance
to the federal Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus
Crime Statistics Act.

Date
of Incident: Thursday, October 09, 2008.
Time: Between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Description: Disruptive EMS student, carrying a concealed weapon, in the vicinity of 375 N. Grant.
Detail: Reporting person states that the student was
disruptive to class. CSCC Police arrested the student and transported
him to the Franklin County Jail, and issued him a criminal trespass
warning prohibiting him from returning to a CSCC campus. The student
did not make any known threats.
He was later released from jail on bond.
Suspect: Daniel K. Cutlip- (See photograph and
description)- If seen on campus, notify CSCC Police immediately at 287-2525
or 911. Avoid contact. Exercise caution.
Extra precautions have been taken, including extra police patrols. Security
escorts to and from class are routinely available by calling the CSCC DPS at
287-2525.

Time: Between 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Description: Vehicle Theft.
Detail: Reporting person states they parked their car on the 10-S parking lot at about 8:00 a.m. When the reporting person returned to the parking lot at about 12:30 p.m., the car was not there. Personal property left in the car is valued at $400. The stolen car is described as a:
1996 Toyota Corolla, 4 door. Black in color with Ohio license EFB5454.

of Incident: Sunday, May 5, 2008, 2008.
Time: Between 8:00 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.
Description: Vehicle Theft.
Detail: Victim states that he parked his vehicle on
the parking lot at Bolton Field at approximately 8:00 a.m. When he
returned to his car, it had been stolen. The vehicle is described as a
1994 Chevrolet Beretta, 2 door and is blue in color. License plate on
the car is DDS-3881.

Update:
This vehicle has been recovered by the Columbus Division of Police. No
suspects were apprehended and the case remains open.

of Incident: Sunday, March 30, 2008.
Time: Approximately 2:30 a.m.
Description: Shooting at Gateway Parking Garage, 75
E. 11th Ave. near OSU Columbus campus
Detail: The Columbus Division of Police has issued an
arrest warrant on a recent Columbus State student Ricardo L. Conley,
age 27, for Felonious Assault. Conley is wanted for the early Sunday
morning alleged shooting of Nevin Cousin that occurred in the Gateway
parking garage near the Ohio State Columbus campus. Conley just recently
dropped his Spring Quarter classes at Columbus State. If anyone has
information about the whereabouts of Conley and/or if you know him and
see him, please contact Columbus Police immediately at 645-4545 or
Columbus State Police at extension 2525.
Suspect: Ricardo L. Conley .

UPDATE,
April 1, 2008: Ricardo L. Conley turned himself into police yesterday
evening, March 31, 2008, at the Franklin Co. Jail. The Columbus State
Department of Public Safety appreciates the assistance received from the
public.

Time: 6:50 a.m.
Description: 1997 White Chevy Malibu four door-Ohio
registration DNW2984
Detail: At approximately 6:50 a.m., the reporting person
observed a black male exposing himself in the 11-S parking lot. If you
have any information that would be helpful to this case, or if you see
this vehicle, please call CSCC Department of Public Safety immediately
at 287-2525, or 911.
Suspect: Under investigation.
Open or Closed Case: Case closed.
UPDATE,
August 11, 2007, the suspect in this case was taken into custody by
another police agency and transported to the Franklin County Jail facility.
This case is now closed, and a trial date is pending.

Between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Description: Stolen Vehicle
Detail: Reporting party stated that he parked his
vehicle on the 11-S parking lot and entered Madison Hall to obtain some
information about classes. Upon returning to the parking lot, the
reporting party found that his vehicle was not there.
The vehicle is a
2000 Nissan Frontier pick up truck, silver in color. It has a "quad" cab
design and bears Ohio license plate AU70AB.

Date of Incident: 07-23-07
Time:
Approximately 4:00 p.m.
Description: Robbery
Detail: Victim states that on July 23, 2007, at about
4:00 p.m., he was approached by an unknown black male on the 11-S parking
lot. The suspect told the victim that he needed a ride to an undisclosed
location. Once inside the victim’s vehicle, the suspect told the
victim that he would be well advised to follow his instructions, and
he wouldn’t be hurt. The victim was told to drive to a nearby
bank, where he withdrew money from his personal account. The victim
was then told to drive to another location, where the suspect got out
of the car and fled in an unknown direction.
Suspect: Male, black, about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet
10 inches tall. Wearing a white pullover shirt and dress pants.

UPDATE, July 26, 2007:
Based on tips from students and staff aware of the Clery Crime Alert
below, the robbery suspect was spotted on the Columbus campus today at
approximately 3:55 p.m. and was arrested and placed in custody without
incident by Campus Police, closing the case. The suspect was not
affiliated with the college. The department thanks the campus community
for assistance in solving this case.

Between 12:40 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
Description: Stolen Vehicle
Detail: At 12:40 p.m., the reporting person left the car which
was parked on the 4th level of the parking garage to attend class. Upon
returning to the car at 3:15 p.m., the reporting person discovered the
car had been stolen. The car is described as a Toyota Corolla, white
in color, bearing Ohio license plates CGV-8362.
