Columbus State to Host
Community Conversation on
Ohio’s 10-Year Plan for Higher Education
Chancellor Fingerhut, college and
university officials, business,
civic and student leaders to
participate in this first of a series across state
Ohio Chancellor Eric D. Fingerhut will lead an
April 16 panel discussion at Columbus State Community College on
Ohio’s 10-year strategic plan for higher education presented to
Governor Strickland and the Ohio General Assembly March 31. The
Community Conversations forum is the first of a series to be
held across the state inviting the public to discuss the plan
with the Chancellor and panelists, which include college and
university officials, business, civic and student leaders, and
others from the local community.
The April 16 agenda includes an overview of the
plan presented by the Chancellor, followed by a discussion
focused on college affordability. In addition to Chancellor
Fingerhut, invited panelists include:

The 4:00-5:30 p.m. event takes place at the
Columbus State Community College Center for Workforce
Development, 315 N. Cleveland Avenue (4th floor conference
center), and will be broadcast on The Ohio Channel.
It is free and open to the public, but

Since becoming chancellor in 2007,
Fingerhut said his priorities are increasing aid for college and
keeping tuition costs down.
