COLUMBUS STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
DISABILITY SERVICES
NOTE-WRITER NOTEBOOKS

Note-Writer Notebooks are available for students who are registered and approved for services. Upon approval for this accommodation, please go to Franklin Hall Rm. 228 to request the Note-Writer Notebook.

The student registered with DS should provide his/her instructor with their accommodation form at the beginning of each quarter. After the student has given the accommodation form to their instructor the student or the instructor usually asks for a volunteer in the class to take notes. With this method, the note taker and the student (who is registered with DS) each obtain a copy of the notes from the class lecture.

If you have any questions, please contact the Resource Center at (614) 287-5089 (V/TTY).

Using the Note-Writer Notebooks:

1. Explain to the volunteer how to use the Note-Writer Notebook. Place two pages of paper on the top of the blue cover page and write. When class is over the volunteer note taker keeps one copy of the notes and returns the Note-Writer to the student registered with DS.

****These Note-Writer Notebooks are also available for purchase at the Discovery Exchange.
