Jan. 29: Gallaudet University comes to campus to recruit students!

Jim Crane, a Representative from Gallaudet University will be on CSCC campus Feb. 17, 2009 to speak with students who may be interested in learning about Gallaudet University. It will be held at Nestor Hall, Room 010, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Here is a brief background of Gallaudet University, the world’s Liberal Arts College for deaf and hard of hearing.  It was founded in 1864 by an Act of Congress and was signed by President Abraham Lincoln.  It is located in southeast Washington, D.C. 

Gallaudet University offers more than 40 majors leading to a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree. Also, this college offers graduate programs that are open to deaf, hard of hearing and hearing students wanting a Master of Arts or a Master of Science degree, Specialist degree, Certificate and Doctoral degrees in a variety of fields involving professional service provisions to deaf and hard of hearing people.
