POSITION:
Coordinator, Loss Prevention
DEPARTMENT: Auxiliary Services (Bookstore)
JOB SUMMARY: Investigate, detain and interview persons apprehended for shoplifting and internal theft in accordance with local laws and Bookstore procedures. Accountable for physical security of the retail complex to prevent and deter theft and fraud. Provides updates to Management on security of facility, theft and fraud investigations and physical security of the store and Bookstore related court cases. Create sales associate and staff awareness training for issues related to internal and external theft, shoplifting, and operational concerns for Bookstore security. Ensure effective use of Closed Circuit Television Monitors, Electronic Surveillance Systems and fire and intrusion alarms. Independently analyze store data to expose internal and/or operational issues that may cause shrink. Maintain liaison relationship with the College Department of Public Safety on all theft/fraud and security related situations. Liaison with local law enforcement and courts providing store support in resolving theft/fraud cases. Keeps accurate records. Completes and maintains required documentation including daily log, alarm reports and complaints. Maintains confidentiality of student files and investigations, and maintains incident reports and other sensitive information. Provides follow-up to management on Auxiliary Services related court cases. Conducts and develops security pre-planning for special events, in cooperation with other affected agencies and departments. Performs other related duties as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Minimum qualifications for this position are: Associate’s Degree with 1 to 3 years progressively responsible loss prevention related experience. Knowledge of surveillance and apprehension methodologies. Must have working knowledge of criminal and civil laws relating to loss prevention activity. Employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment. Knowledge of emergency management practices.

POSITION:
Coordinator, Marketing and Program Development (Revised Posting)
DEPARTMENT: Business and Industry
JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates marketing of Business and Industry programs and services to businesses and the community. Works with sales representatives to identify potential markets for new customers and products; facilitates sales through marketing strategies. Represents the department and college at community events, trade shows and professional organizations to market services and build relationships with customers. Develops annual and event-specific marketing plans. Leads project teams for specific marketing events. Creates budget forecast for marketing plans and events. Monitors project expenses through implementation of the project; Coordinates marketing initiatives, materials development and ad campaigns. Develops and distributes marketing and sales promotion materials to customers and corporations. Develops and utilizes interactive marketing strategies to market services and programs to business clients. Coordinates development and distribution of bimonthly electronic newsletter to customers, updates department web site. Serves as liaison to campus departments and external vendors to support web based and e-marketing initiatives. Conducts market research of industry and training trends. Provides technical support, researches and identifies current and developing technologies, documents computer procedures, evaluates software, creates and updates website, maintains project tracking database and assists with other computer and technical functions. Analyzes requirements for technical support for new program or project development. Conducts team meetings to provide relevant information and facilitate planning and priority setting. Works with the team to establish goals, priorities, and facilitate problem solving and coordinate team activities. Functionally supervises assigned staff. Participates in evaluations, employee selection, orientation, and other personnel actions, and provides direction, coaching and guidance regarding job methods, standards and operations.

POSITION:
Lab Coordinator / Learning Facilitator (Temporary - IST Grant)
DEPARTMENT: Engineering Technology
JOB SUMMARY: Facilitates learning in a high tech lab which includes computer based modules; responsible for self-paced printed material and extensive hands-on lab activities; maintains complete inventory of capital equipment and perishable supplies; performs routine maintenance on high tech systems; checks for completeness and accuracy of students' timely performance of hands-on labs; collaborates with other team members to assure program success and sustainability; interfaces with key targeted companies and individuals to assure company and individuals meet their goals.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualifications: Associates Degree in Applied Science, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering Technology with 5 years experience in a technical capacity with evidence of progression in responsibility. Preferred status given to those with experience in Motor Alignment, Frequency Testing, Hydraulics Pneumatics, Power Distribution, PLC, Mechanisms, Electronics and/or Automation Control.

DEPARTMENT: Learning Systems
JOB SUMMARY: Columbus State Community College invites applications and nominations for the position of Provost (Chief Academic and Student Services Officer). System Administrator (OS/Hardware/Backup & Recovery)
DEPARTMENT: Data Center, Information Technology
JOB SUMMARY: Maintains, administers and supports Unix/Unix based (AIX, etc.) operating systems and associated hardware components. Administers and supports data backup software, associated hardware and media, including robotic media libraries including but not limited to Tivoli system. Administers and supports storage area networks (SAN). Implements disaster recovery processes and guidelines for hardware, data and backup/archive media as provided in the disaster recovery plan. Evaluates new technologies and software associated with area of responsibility. Makes recommendations to peers and supervisors. Interfaces and provides technical consultation to various levels of administration. Makes recommendations on disaster recovery procedures and the maintenance of the disaster recovery plan. Develops and maintains processes to ensure the integrity and security of administrative systems. Maintains the confidentiality of College records and other information governed by the College policies and procedures. Installs and monitors hardware and software to ensure optimal systems performance and function. Interfaces with vendor technical support to resolve assigned technical support tickets.
