Job Description: Provide customer service and support to Admissions staff. The employee greets, screens, & routes students & visitors. Answer phone, knowledge of campus resources.

Skills Required: Knowledge and skills necessary include: standard office skills and practices, customer service knowledge, computer-literate, data entry, public speaking, cultural sensitivity, and telephone etiquette.


Campus Department: Bookstore

Position Title: Discovery Exchange: Sales Associate

Rate of Pay: $7.57

Intended Start Date for Position: ASAP

Requested Hours: Varies; M-Th 7a-9p, Friday 7a-5p, Saturday 8a-2p

Job Description: Provides customer service to students, employees and community in DX Bookstore. Answers basic questions and directs customers to area departments. Assist customers, marks merchandise and maintains retail floor.

Skills Required: Prior sales experience a plus. Must be able to work in team environment, communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.

Position Title: Business Programs: Office Associate

Rate of Pay: 7.30

Requested Hours: flexible hours up to 20 per week

Job Description: Office/clerical support to large academic and administrative department servicing a diverse group of students, staff, and faculty. A mixture of duties some computer based some physical: filing, sorting, alphabetizing, database inputting, materials delivery, customer service, and other duties as assigned.

Skills Required: Accuracy in typing, filing, good communication skills, and understanding of customer service. Computer literacy a plus.


Campus Department: Child Dev. Center

Position Title: Child Development Center: Classroom Assistant

Rate of Pay: $7.57

Intended Start Date for Position: ASAP

Requested Hours: 20 hours per week, schedule TBD

Job Description: Responsible for the care and nurturing of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Assist staff with daily routine activities in the childcare center. Provides emotional support to children, helps with good physical hygiene and supervises during play. Maintain all Ohio Department of Job and Family Services licensing standards.

Skills Required: Demonstrates good oral communication and a professional appearance. Must provide all documentation required by Ohio Department of Job and Family Servies personal file prior to first day of employment. Prior experience with young children preferred.


Campus Department: Financial Aid & Veteran Services

Position Title: Financial Aid: Filing Assistant

Rate of Pay: $7.00

Intended Start Date for Position: ASAP

Requested Hours: 15-20 hours per week, flexible between 8am - 3 pm

Job Description: Assist processing department with a range of duties including alphabetizing, sorting, mailings, organizing of files, and checking reports for accuracy.

Skills Required: Ability to work independently. Strong communication skills. Experience working with Microsoft Office. A dependable, steady schedule is required.

Position Title: Financial Aid: Office Associate

Job Description: Student will be responsible for providing clerical support for scholarship coordinator in the Office of Financial Aid and Veteran Services. Performs general typing, filing, alphabetizing, sorting files, data entry, and prepares mailings

Skills Required: Ability to alphabetize, sort files, and prepare mailings. Microsoft Office experience with Word and Access or Excel. Must be reliable and dependable as well as able to hold a reliable schedule. Must be able to work independently.


Campus Department: Information Technology

Position Title: IT Frontliners: Computer Lab Assistant

Rate of Pay: $7.00

Intended Start Date for Position: ASAP

Requested Hours: M-F afternoons to early evenings or mornings starting at 7 am

Job Description: Assist students with general computer information in the various computer labs located around campus.

Skills Required: Looking for students with high degree of computer proficiency, customer service experience, and consistent schedule. Degree program under CIT programs a plus. Emphasis on communication skills and ability to help students and staff.

Position Title: Nursing Cetificate Program: Lab Assistant

Rate of Pay: $7.00

Requested Hours: 7:30 a.m. start time, remainder of schedule TBD

Job Description: Assist in setting up labs for the instructor, maintaining cleanliness of all related lab equitment and stocking of supply cabinets. This position requires an absolute start time of 7:30 a.m. and work hours are negotiable after the 7:30 a.m. lab set up start time.

Skills Required: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds


Campus Department: Physical Plant

Position Title: Grounds Assistant

Rate of Pay: $7.57

Requested Hours: 10-20 hrs per week

Job Description: Performs a variety of landscape maintenance duties including: mowing, trimming, edging, tilling, planting, watering, and leaf clean-up. Removes debris from walks, lawns and parking lots by hand and operating power vacuum sweeper. Empties trash cans and ashtrays on campus.

Skills Required: Ability to: understand and follow specific instructions and procedures, perform grounds maintenance task.

Position Title: Diversity, Study Abroad, & Trio Program: Office Assistant

Rate of Pay: $7.57

Intended Start Date for Position: ASAP

Job Description: Support needed for clerical and event planning duties which may include but not be limited to hard-copy filing, data entry, coping, faxing, and event set up/tear down.

Skills Required: Some experience with MS Word and MS Excel, professional etiquette, ability to work independently, and attention to detail a plus.

Skills Required: Computer skills, manual dexterity for making packets and filing, able to lift 10 lbs, know how to alphabetize, able to multi-task, develop and maintain good working relationships with associates, supervisors, job contacts, and general public
